Humic and Fulvic Acids, UMX Liquid

In recent years there’s been a lot of talk around the use of Humic and Fulvic Acids, they are natural compounds or acids that occur naturally in small amounts in organic matter like compost.  We can apply additional amounts of Humic and Fulvic Acids through some kelp products such as our KELPRO product hosed into the soil, however we can also apply a more concentrated form of these compounds with products such as UMX liquid.

There are a couple of ways that UMX liquid can be added to your maintenance program that will greatly benefit your lawn.  This product can be both applied through a foliar program, where it is mixed with a liquid fertiliser, where the nutrient uptake due to the humates and Humic Acids is increased many times.  It is a perfect accompaniment with all foliar nutrition applications, then a wash off 12 to 24 hrs later will apply the benefits of this product into the soil.

In the soil, Humic and Fulvic acids are important chelators, allowing minerals to be available as organic compounds that are easily absorbed by the plants. These acids also assist in tying up soil toxins, protecting the plant from them by making them less available

Humic and Fulvic acids also increase plant root growth and metabolism, helps plants deal with environmental stresses and can improve seed germination rates.  These acids are frequently applied with microbial inoculants, organic fertilisers as they greatly improve the soil. Humic acids also improve the water absorption and water retention capacity of the soil.

The acids already occur in good fertile soil with organic material in varying concentrations. It is the perfect complement to add while applying organic material like kelp or our KELPRO product to the soil as an ongoing program to maximise the benefits of your soil conditioning.  UMX liquid is an easy to use concentrate that mixes well with other amendments.
